What Is an SR1?
SR1 is a Yamaha R1–powered UTV spec class for short course off-road racing. Plenty of horsepower, a six-speed manual gearbox and two-wheel-drive handling on a tire that is deliberately smaller than the power. Races are won by the driver, not the budget.
Every SR1 is built on the Weller Racing SR1 base frame and engine mount kit, with a stock R1 engine center mounted, direct chain drive and a 26" knobby tire. SR1 races as Class 14 with Championship Off-Road Racing (CORR). See the Rule Book for the specs, or read how it started.
